Best dropshipping product research tools 2026, compared

The best dropshipping product research tools on this list are Dropship.io, Ecomhunt, Koala Inspector, Minea, PPSPY, SellWinners, Sell The Trend, ShopHunter and Winning Hunter. They start from different places: the stores that sell a product, the ads that promote it, or a list picked by hand.

This list is published by SellWinners, and one of the nine tools is ours. Our entry sits in alphabetical order with the others, with the same kind of facts, and it says what our product does not do.

How we compared the tools

On October 19, 2026 we read each tool's own homepage, its pricing page and, where it had one, its docs. Every entry links to what we read. We put product finders and dropshipping analytics tools in the same list, because most of them do some of both.

For all nine we noted the same facts: where the research starts, the store and product data it shows, the ads it shows, the filters it names, a free plan or a trial, an API or an MCP server, a browser extension, and whether it imports products or finds suppliers.

"Not stated" means we did not find the fact on the tool's own pages, not that the tool lacks it. We leave other tools' prices out: they change often, and three of the nine showed no price we could confirm. Each entry links to the tool's pricing page or homepage instead.

A word on sales numbers

Treat any sales figure for a store you do not own as an estimate. Use it to compare stores with each other, not as a count of orders. In SellWinners, units sold and estimated sales are estimates for each store, and in the product search for each product too. Our guide on how much a Shopify store makes explains what goes into such an estimate.

The product research tools, one by one

In alphabetical order. Each entry ends with the pages we read.

Dropship.io

Dropship.io leads with discovering winning products to sell. Its pricing page splits the research into a Product Library, a Shop Library, a Creator Library and a Sales Tracker for TikTok Shop stores and products, next to a Facebook Ad Library, an Advertiser Library and an Advertiser Tracker. On TikTok it covers shops, products and creators, not ads. Shopify shows up as the place you send products to: connect your store and import in one click, or send them to AutoDS. Free tools include a theme detector and pre-built stores. The pricing page does not mention a sales tracker for Shopify stores.

Its filters are listed in detail. For products: price, revenue, sales volume, variants, shop size, and keywords to include or exclude. For shops: revenue, sales, size, growth rate and category. For ads: creative type, ad spend, ad set count, EU reach, selling price, category, status, call to action, ad copy language and country. It offers a free trial you can cancel at any time, length not stated. Billing is monthly or yearly, and yearly costs less a month. It has a Chrome extension. We found no API or MCP server; its AI search works inside the app.

Ecomhunt

Ecomhunt curates new products every day. Each product comes with its live Facebook ads, TikTok videos and engagement counts, saturation and targeting data, and AliExpress stats, and you can import it to Shopify. It also names a database of winning products from the past two years and an in-app AI analyst called Adam, with filters and sorting. A "Shopify Explorer" label appears with no description, so we cannot say what store data it shows.

The homepage says "Free Trial" with no length, while the pricing page lists no trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Plans are billed monthly or yearly. A Chrome extension is listed; which plans include it is not clear. We found no API or MCP server.

Koala Inspector

Koala Inspector is a free Chrome extension that its own page calls a Shopify spy tool. It shows a store's best-selling products, installed apps, theme, estimated sales and traffic, and ad campaigns, without naming the ad platforms. The free plan gives 15 tokens a month with no card. Premium gives 220 tokens and lets you track up to 50 stores, and you can buy one-time token packs. We found no filter list, no API and no MCP server.

Minea

Minea's homepage leads with finding your next winning product. It lists product listings, shop listings, shop tracking (traffic, revenue, top ads and apps used), a brand tracker and daily winning products. It is the only tool on this list that names a supplier finder, and it can create a Shopify store from a product. Its ad spy pages list Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest ads and influencer product placements, with filters for spend, engagement, platform and demographics. Its pricing page still calls Pinterest and TikTok ads "coming soon".

No free plan is listed, though you can register for free, and we found no trial length. Plans are billed monthly or quarterly, and quarterly costs less a month. It has a Chrome extension. We found no API or MCP server; its AI ad analysis and transcripts work inside the app.

PPSPY

PPSPY, the sister product of PiPiAds, calls itself a Shopify spy and sales tracker. It gives a 15-day sales report for a store with AI-predicted orders. You can search stores by revenue and traffic, find best-selling products and one-product stores, and see themes, apps and traffic sources. Its homepage names the filters: revenue, search volume, keywords, traffic source, region and language, product tags, installed pixel, theme, app, monthly sales, price range, category and product count. It has "Ads" and "Ad Tracker" tools, with no platform named.

The trial is free and needs no card. Its pricing page loads with scripts, so we could not read the prices; a banner offers 50% off annual plans. There is a Chrome extension. An "API Service" link opens a page with a single line and no docs, and a "Connect to OpenClaw" link opens a skills page with no explanation. We found no MCP server.

SellWinners

SellWinners is our product, and it works from both sides. Search store products by estimated revenue, units sold, price, live Meta ads or EU ad spend, each with its reviews, launch date, selling countries and shop. Or type a product name and you get the Shopify stores that sell it, each with its best sellers and their prices. Then filter or sort the stores by units sold, estimated monthly sales, best-seller price, 30-day traffic growth, active ads, product count, market countries and category. Open a store for its traffic history, apps, Shopify theme and pixels, see the Meta and TikTok ads it runs, and find a store's competitors with a similarity score.

In Explore, open Products and sort by Revenue, or open Shops, set Match to Product name, type a product in the search box, then sort by Growth 30d or Units sold. Over the API, the same searches look like this:

# Search or browse products
curl "https://api.sellwinners.com/v1/products?search=posture%20corrector&sortBy=estSales&limit=10" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

GET /v1/products Parameters and fields in the docs

# Search or browse shops (trending when empty)
curl "https://api.sellwinners.com/v1/shops?search=posture%20corrector&searchType=productName&sortBy=growth30d&limit=10" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

GET /v1/shops Parameters and fields in the docs

An AI agent can run the niche step for you. find_winning_products takes a niche and up to five product words and returns the best sellers of the fastest-growing shops that sell them, up to three per shop. It is on paid plans.

What it does not do: it does not search suppliers, does not import products into your store, has no TikTok Shop data and has no browser extension. The Free plan needs no card and finds a store by name, keyword or domain to show its overview with traffic, estimated sales, apps and products. Product search and searching stores by product need a paid plan, and the pricing page compares them. Paid plans start at €39 a month. The same data is in Explore, and on paid plans in the REST API and the MCP server, with one API key.

See the SellWinners product research tool, the Shopify spy tool for browsing growing stores, and Shopify store analytics for one store's numbers.

Sell The Trend

Sell The Trend says it finds winning products with predictive AI. Its research tools include Store Intelligence (a competitor store's revenue, best sellers, latest products and Facebook ads), a Competition Explorer, Niche Spy, a TikTok Shop Explorer and an AI product research tool called NEXUS. For ads it has a Facebook Ads Explorer and a Facebook AdSpy, plus a TikTok Viral Ads Explorer on the Pro plan. You can push products to a Shopify store.

Advanced filters come with the Essential and Pro plans, not Lite, and no filter list is published. The trial lasts 14 days and needs a payment method, which is charged if you do not cancel. When we checked, its pricing page showed prices only in a local currency, so we could not confirm them. A Chrome extension is included on all plans and also offered as a free tool. We found no API or MCP server.

ShopHunter

ShopHunter centers on Shopify stores. It says it shows estimated revenue, orders and average price for Shopify stores, their best sellers, hourly updates and history for the stores you track, and alerts when a store adds products or changes prices. Its store filters are sales velocity, store size, price point and product age. It also covers Facebook ads, with filters for active ad count and launch recency.

Its public pages show a "Free Demo" button, but no free plan, trial or prices, and its pricing address returned a 404. We found no API, MCP server or browser extension.

Winning Hunter

Winning Hunter covers brands, stores, ads and products. Its Store Tracker shows a store's revenue, traffic and similar stores, and a Store Explorer and Shopify store discovery help you find new ones. It can import products, and a "Magic AI" feature counts the competitors for each product. It lists Facebook ads from the Meta Ad Library, TikTok ads and TikTok Shop, and Pinterest ads, with TikTok and Pinterest from the Standard plan. Ad filters include ad spend, ad set amount, media type, ad and product creation dates, performance and scaling.

It documents a REST API and an MCP server with 20 tools that share one key, and it names Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini and n8n as clients. The docs do not say which plans include them. The free trial needs no card; we found no free plan. Billing is monthly, quarterly (15% off) or yearly (40% off). We found no browser extension.

How to choose a product research tool

Pick by where you want your research to start.

  • You want product ideas handed to you. Ecomhunt curates products every day, Minea lists daily winning products, and Sell The Trend has an AI product research tool.
  • You want to study one store you already found. Koala Inspector does this from a Chrome extension, with a free plan. The SellWinners Free plan finds a store by name, keyword or domain and shows its overview.
  • You want the stores that sell a product. SellWinners searches Shopify stores by product name and sorts them by growth or units sold. PPSPY searches stores by revenue and traffic, and ShopHunter filters them by sales velocity, size, price point and product age.
  • You sell on TikTok Shop. Dropship.io, Sell The Trend and Winning Hunter list TikTok Shop data. SellWinners has none.
  • You want to import products or find suppliers. Dropship.io, Ecomhunt, Sell The Trend and Winning Hunter list importing, and Minea lists a supplier finder. SellWinners does neither.
  • You want the data in your own code or AI agent. SellWinners and Winning Hunter document both an API and an MCP server.

Whichever you pick, check the ads behind a product before you order stock, and see how long they have run. Our guide on how to find winning products walks through the whole method, and if you start from ads, see our list of the best ad spy tools.

FAQ

Common questions

Is there a free dropshipping product research tool?

Koala Inspector has a free plan with 15 tokens a month and no card, per its own page. SellWinners has a Free plan with no card that finds a Shopify store by domain and shows its overview; searching stores by product and listing the best sellers of a niche need a paid plan. Five of the others mention a free trial instead. All checked on October 19, 2026.

Are the sales numbers in these tools exact?

Read them as estimates unless the store is yours. Koala Inspector and ShopHunter call their store figures estimated, and PPSPY calls its orders AI-predicted, on their own pages (checked on October 19, 2026). In SellWinners, units sold and estimated sales belong to the whole store, so read a store's best sellers as a list of its top products, not as sales figures for each product.

Does SellWinners find suppliers or import products to Shopify?

No. SellWinners shows what stores sell, their best sellers with prices, their estimated sales and their ads. It does not search suppliers and does not import products into a store. On their own pages (checked on October 19, 2026), Minea lists a supplier finder, and Dropship.io, Ecomhunt, Sell The Trend and Winning Hunter list importing to a store.

Which product research tools have an API or an MCP server?

Winning Hunter documents a REST API and an MCP server. PPSPY links to an API page with no public docs. SellWinners has a REST API and 73 MCP tools on its paid plans, with one key for both, find_winning_products among them. We found no API on the other tools' pages. All checked on October 19, 2026.

Start free, then upgrade when you need more

No card is needed. The Free plan includes the web app and the MCP server (150 credits a month), without the API. The API and the other datasets need a paid plan. Paid plans start at €39 a month.
