# Google Ads Library: a first request curl "https://api.sellwinners.com/v1/google-ads?search=running%20shoes&status=active&limit=10" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" # The answer is JSON: # {"requestId": "...", "data": ...}
What you get with Google Ads Library
Search by words or brand
Match the words of an ad, or keep the ads of one brand.
41 filters
Status, days running, publish date, countries, audience countries, network, format, category, the brand's site traffic and its growth, and the reach Google reports for some ads shown in the EU.
Networks and formats
Keep the ads shown on Search, YouTube, Shopping or Maps, and keep text, image or video ads. A video ad shows its thumbnail, with a link to watch it on Google.
Sort when you browse
Without a search text, sort by newest or reach. A search text ranks the results by relevance.
Three steps
Search a brand or a niche
Type words from the ads, or pick one brand.
Filter by network
Keep one network, then add countries, a format or a minimum number of days running.
Read the results
Each ad comes with its image or thumbnail, its format, its network, its countries and how long it has run.
The endpoints behind it
Each one is documented with its parameters. Select a row to open it in the docs.
The same feature for your AI agent
These tools use the same key and the same credits as the REST API.
search_google_ads_librarySearch Google adsA Google ads library lets you look up the ads a brand runs on Google and see where they run and for how long. In SellWinners you search Google ads by the words in the ad or by brand, then filter them by network, country, format and days running.
SellWinners is an independent research tool. It is not Google's own ads library and is not affiliated with Google.
Search our Google ads library by keyword or brand
Type words from the ads to search a niche, or pick one brand to see the Google ads it runs. You can also leave the search empty and browse with filters only, which is the way to sort the results.
In Explore:
- Open Explore, go to Ads and pick the Google tab.
- Type words from the ad, or set Brand to one shop.
- Set Status to active to keep the ads that are still running: those Google showed in the last 7 days. Without a status, an ad Google has not shown for more than a week says when it was last seen. Inactive keeps the ads marked as stopped, so those not seen for more than a week are under neither status.
- Open Advanced filters. Under Audience, pick a network and the countries you sell in.
- Under Running, set a minimum number of days running.
- Clear the search text if you want to sort by newest or reach. There is no longest running sort: the day count it would rank by goes on after an ad stops, so it would list ads Google stopped showing long ago.
Filter Google ads by network, country and format
Google searches take 41 named filters. Explore groups them like this:
- Basic: status, and the Brand box for one shop.
- Audience: networks, formats, countries, audience countries to include or leave out, and a switch for EU and UK ads only.
- Running: days running, and a range of publish dates.
- Reach: a minimum and a maximum reach. Google reports a reach for some of the ads shown in the EU only, so a minimum keeps those.
- Shop: the category of the brand, the monthly visits of its site and its 30-day traffic growth.
Networks
The network filter takes Search, YouTube, Shopping and Maps. Each ad also tells you its network. Keep one network at a time, or compare how one brand uses each of them. For the video ads brands run on YouTube, see the YouTube ad spy tool.
Formats
Google ads come in three formats: text, image and video. The API's formats filter takes the same three names, upper or lower case. A video ad shows its thumbnail, with a Watch on Google link to the ad on Google's Ads Transparency Center, where the video plays. SellWinners does not host or play the video files.
Google ads are on paid plans, with every filter.
Sort Google ads by newest or reach
A search text always ranks results by relevance. To sort, browse without one and narrow the list with filters instead. This call lists the Shopping ads Google still shows, the newest first:
# Search Google ads
curl "https://api.sellwinners.com/v1/google-ads?networks=shopping&status=active&sortBy=newest&limit=10" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"GET /v1/google-ads Parameters and fields in the docs
Long-running ads are a good place to start, because the brand chose to keep paying for them. There is no longest running sort, so keep them with minDaysRunning, for example 30. Most ads that ran that long have stopped, so a broad list can end before its page is full, with meta.partial and a warning; one brand or a narrower search reads further.
What each Google ad shows
- The ad
- Its image, or the thumbnail of a video ad, its format (text, image or video), its status, the network it runs on, the dates it was first and last seen, and its days running.
- The link to Google
- The ad's page on Google's Ads Transparency Center, as
transparencyUrlin the API. In Explore, a video ad links to it as Watch on Google. - The audience
- Its countries, and whether it uses remarketing or interest targeting.
- The reach
- Google reports a reach for some of the ads shown in the EU, often only as 10M+ (the top of its scale), and most ads have none. Google ads have no spend figure.
- The brand
- The advertiser's name and domain, the monthly visits and traffic growth of its site, and, when known, how many active Meta and TikTok ads the same brand runs.
The brand line is where you go next. When a brand also runs Meta ads, the Meta ads library search shows them with reach for ads shown in the EU and the UK, and estimated spend. To see which brands advertise the most in your market first, find the top advertisers in a niche.
Google ads library API and MCP tool
This is the SellWinners API, not an official Google API. A POST takes the named filters at the top level of the body:
# Search Google ads with filters
curl -X POST "https://api.sellwinners.com/v1/google-ads/query" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"query": "running shoes", "status": "active", "countries": ["DE", "FR"], "limit": 20}'POST /v1/google-ads/query Parameters and fields in the docs
List the network values with GET /v1/google-ads/facets/networks, and read every parameter in the Google ads search reference. Your AI agent gets the same search through search_google_ads_library. You can ask it, for example, for active Google ads about running shoes on the Shopping network.
Google ads sit next to Meta and TikTok in the same ad spy tool. Google ads are on paid plans, with up to 5,000 results per search: see the plans and their prices.
Search Google ads in your own niche
Google ads are on paid plans, from €39 a month. The Free plan needs no card and covers each shop's Meta ad library and a shop search.
Common questions
Is SellWinners Google's own ads library?
No. SellWinners is an independent research tool and is not affiliated with Google. It lets you search Google ads by keyword or brand, and filter them by network, country, format and days running.
Does the Google data include YouTube video ads?
Yes. Google ads come as text, image and video ads, and in the data most YouTube-network ads are video ads. A video ad shows its thumbnail, with a link to watch it on Google's Ads Transparency Center: SellWinners does not host or play the video files. The YouTube ad spy tool page shows how to keep them.
Does it show reach or spend for Google ads?
Google reports a reach for some of the ads shown in the EU, often only as 10M+, and most Google ads have none. Google ads have no spend figure. For estimated spend, use the Meta ads search: it covers Facebook and Instagram ads, with reach and spend for ads shown in the EU and the UK.
Can I sort a Google ads search by newest?
Not with a search text: a search always ranks by relevance. Browse without a search text, narrow the list with filters such as network, country or one brand, then sort by newest or reach. There is no longest running sort for Google ads: the day count it would rank by goes on after an ad stops. To keep the long runs, set a minimum number of days running.
Are Google ads on the Free plan?
No. Google ads are on paid plans, with every filter, network and country. The Free plan needs no card and covers each shop's Meta ad library and a shop search in the web app. See the plans and their prices.
Can my AI agent search Google ads?
Yes. The MCP server has a search_google_ads_library tool with the same filters as the API, networks and formats included. It works in Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients, with the same key and the same monthly credits as the REST API.
