The data

What data does SellWinners give me?

E-commerce and advertising intelligence in one place: Shopify stores with their traffic, sales estimates, products and apps; the ads brands run on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Search, YouTube, Shopping and Maps) and TikTok, with their images and videos (for a Google video ad, its thumbnail and a link to watch it on Google); advertisers and their activity; store products with their price, sales estimate, reviews, Meta ads and EU reach; and the marketing emails brands send.

You can search each of these, open a single record for the full detail, and follow brands over time with brand trackers. The features pages show each area.

How fresh is the data?

Data is collected continuously, and every search reads the latest of it when you make it, so new stores, products, ads and emails show up as soon as they are tracked.

Are sales and spend figures exact?

No. Monthly sales, revenue and ad spend are estimates built from public signals such as traffic, product data and ad reach. They are useful for comparing stores and spotting trends, not as audited numbers.

Can I use the image and video URLs in my own product?

Yes. Ad and store media in our responses are served from our own addresses, need no API key and do not use credits, so you can show them directly in your app.

How many results can I page through?

Up to 100 results per page, and the first 5,000 results of any search (an advertiser search, its first 100). On the Free plan, a shop search shows its first 10 results. Narrow the search with filters to reach deeper into a specific niche, country or time range.

How far back does brand history go?

Reports on a tracked brand's current ads, landing pages and media mix are read live. The day by day history of its ad copies and headlines is recorded by us from the day you start tracking the brand, so that history begins on that day.

Plans and usage

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes the web app and the MCP server, and no card is required to start. The demo brands are open in full on the website. Search Shopify stores by domain and open their overview, and open each shop's Meta ad library on its page. You also get the Shopify app and theme detectors (20 store checks a month), recently viewed shops on the Shops page and a search across everything you saved before. The Free plan includes the MCP server too: 150 credits a month, 10 requests a minute, the first 10 results of each search. The API and the other datasets are on paid plans.

What do the plans include?

Paid plans have every dataset in the web app, the API and the MCP server, and you choose how many API and MCP credits you need. Free has shop search and shop overviews, each shop's Meta ad library, and the demo brands in full on the website, with the Shopify app and theme detectors (20 store checks a month), recently viewed shops on the Shops page and a search across everything you saved before. The Free plan includes the MCP server too: 150 credits a month, 10 requests a minute, the first 10 results of each search. The pricing page compares them.

What does a credit pay for?

1 credit = 1 result returned: one brand's details, one ad, or one row of a list. An empty result is free. A search or a list costs the results it returns, one record costs 1 and a search by image 4 credits a result. An MCP tool call costs the results it returns, like the API. Errors, rejected parameters, rate-limited calls, lookups and filter values cost nothing. Checking your own usage and loading media files are free. Using the web app never uses credits.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Further calls return 402 insufficient_credits until the monthly credits renew on the 1st of the month (UTC). On a paid plan, the workspace's owner can buy top-up credits on the billing page (€1 buys 120, from €10): they are used after the month's credits and never expire. You can also upgrade at any time and the bigger allowance applies immediately.

What is the rate limit?

Each plan has a limit of requests per minute for the API and the MCP server, shared by everyone in the workspace and all its keys. Above it you get 429 rate_limited with a Retry-After header telling you how long to wait. Those responses cost no credits. The web app has no rate limit; fair use applies.

Where do I see how much I have used?

On the Usage page of your dashboard, and on every response: the headers X-Credits-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Remaining show what is left, and X-Usage-Cost what the call cost. GET /v1/usage returns the same numbers and is free.

Do unused credits roll over?

Monthly credits don't: they are for the calendar month and start fresh on the 1st. Top-up credits do: they carry over from month to month and never expire.

Account and API keys

How do I get an API key?

Create an account, confirm your email address and choose a paid plan, then create a key on the API keys page of your dashboard. Send it on every request as Authorization: Bearer <key> or X-API-Key: <key>. On the Free plan, a key is for the MCP server (AI agents); the REST API is on paid plans.

Why is my key only shown once?

We store a hash of each key, not the key itself, so nobody (including us) can read it back later. Copy it when it is created. If you lose it, revoke it and create a new one.

My key leaked. What should I do?

Revoke it on the API keys page. It stops working at once, and your other keys keep working. Then create a new key and update your app.

Can I have several keys?

Yes. A paid plan has no limit on keys and charges nothing for them, so make one per app or environment. All keys of a workspace share its credits and rate limit: only the credits are paid for. On the Free plan, a key is for the MCP server (AI agents); the REST API is on paid plans.

I forgot my password.

Use Reset your password. We email you a link that is valid for 15 minutes.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, from Settings in your dashboard. If you are on a paid plan, cancel it in Billing first. Your keys stop working and your saved boards, favorites and tracked brands are removed with the account.

AI agents and MCP

What is the MCP server?

A way for AI agents to use the same data without you writing code. Connect your assistant to our MCP server and it can search stores, products and ads, brief you on a competitor or follow a brand, as tools it calls on its own. See AI agents.

Is the MCP server included in my plan?

It is included on the Starter, Pro and Business plans. The Free plan includes the MCP server too: 150 credits a month, 10 requests a minute, the first 10 results of each search. You use the same API key, and a tool call costs the results it returns, from the same monthly credits.

Which AI tools work with it?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over streamable HTTP with custom headers, such as Cursor, VS Code and Claude (through mcp-remote), and agent frameworks. Setup snippets are on the AI agents page and in your dashboard.

Can an agent delete my saved data by mistake?

Tools that delete, remove or archive something, and the ones that share an ad, a board or a favorite folder, only run when called with an explicit confirmation, so an agent has to ask for it on purpose. Everything an agent saves belongs to the account of the key it uses.

Billing

How am I billed?

Paid plans are billed in EUR, monthly, quarterly or yearly: you choose when you subscribe, and a quarterly or yearly plan costs less a month and is paid 3 or 12 months at a time. Your API and MCP credits still renew every month. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, from Billing in your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then moves to Free. Your keys, boards, favorites and tracked brands stay: you can still read your boards and favorites, and your keys, share links and trackers work again as soon as you choose a paid plan.

Where are my invoices?

In Billing, under Manage billing and invoices. You can also update your payment method there.

Do you offer refunds?

We refund charges made by mistake (such as a duplicate charge), an accidental upgrade whose extra requests you have not used, and periods when the service was unavailable for a long time because of us. Ask within 14 days of the charge. We do not refund unused time or unused requests. The full text is in the refund policy.

I need more than the largest plan.

Build your own plan on the pricing page: from 5,000 to 1,000,000 credits a month, with the rate limit and keys you need. For more than 1,000,000, contact us with the volume you expect and we will work out a plan with you.
