An ad library is a searchable collection of ads. The best known is Meta's Ad Library, which is public: anyone can look up a Facebook page and see the ads it is running on Facebook and Instagram.
For a store owner, an ad library is market research in plain sight. It shows which products competitors push, which angles and offers they use, which formats they favor and how often they launch new ads.
The public library is built for transparency rather than research. It has few filters, you mostly read ads one by one, and reach figures appear only for some ads, such as those shown in the EU. A few habits help:
- Look for ads that have run for weeks: an ad that keeps running is a hint that it pays for itself.
- Count how many versions of the same ad a brand runs, a sign it is scaling a winner.
- Note the landing page each ad sends people to.
The SellWinners Ads Library puts Meta, Google and TikTok ads behind one search, with filters for days running, reach, estimated spend and duplicates, and the Meta Ads Library page lists every Meta ad of one brand.
